Next Generation of Head Wear
Mossy Oak and their new partners, Doug Niedrich and Warren (Nick) Nichols of GameFaceGear LLC located in Sun Valley, Idaho, are pleased to announce their patent-pending product. QuikCamo is a hat/face concealment system that was referred to by Cabelas' head-wear buyer as the "the next generation of head wear." QC will initially be available in Mossy Oak New Breakup. QC's unique design at first appears to be a normal outdoor cap, but it can also quickly provide UV protection for the neck and ears. When needed, QC can be rotated 180 degrees with one hand and hunters will never need to put down their bows or guns again. QC is fast and easy face concealment. Nichols said, "our product is eye-wear compatible and will not impair your hearing. The high tech, anti-microbial, scent reducing, breathable and moisture wicking fabrics make this product a pleasure to wear." Niedrich said, "QuikCamo is so fast it will make your hat spin and is a red neck's best friend." He also pointed out that many people will appreciate the fact that the mask can be tucked up conveniently under their hat.

Hello all,

Here are some photos from a friend Bob Coker and his friend Paul Larsen who have had some success with QuikCamo.

Apple iTunes

Apple .mac Rocks!!

I can't speak too highly of Apple's dot mac service!! I have been a member for about 5 years now and have nothing but praise for the concept, implementation, and pricing. I use it to host 20 or so private web sites, several online photo galleries, file backups, address book and calendars, email and more. I even use it to host images that appear in myspace, ebay, and other social websites, blogs etc. In fact, summitsurplus.com is published to my dot mac account and then I FTP it over to GoDaddy so I have triple redundancy for higher SEO optimization and backup!! Dot mac also enables my video conferencing. .Mac (Apple Computer, Inc.) Apple offers a 60 Day Free Trial for new customers as well as family pack pricing. Please click the link above to learn more. When Paul McCartney Came To Visit.

Sir James Paul McCartney walked toward me with his hand outstretched. His wife Linda was holding on to his left arm at the elbow, watching her footing on the snow covered drive. "You moost be Dave!" He said in that voice we all would recognize if we were blindfolded and hard of hearing. "I'm Paul.... this is my wife Linda". She glanced up, said hello more with her eyes than her voice. I didn't tell him how ridiculous it seemed that he introduced himself. "Welcome to Idaho" I said in a voice more solid than I had feared. Paul had put me at ease. “We’ve heard a lot about you!” Paul said. “Thanks for your hospitality. Loovly place you have here!” “Why thank you!” I responded chuckling at his joke that the estate belonged to the servant. “I’m glad you approve! Let’s get you settled.” Paul’s personal assistant caught up to us at that moment and our attention turned towards the usual orientation the guests required. The following 5 or 6 days in the recording studio have faded in my memory, but I have a very clear sense that Paul brought a bit of calm to the storm. All of the studio personnel were on high alert. Our boss was known for his keen attention to detail and none of us wanted to miss a beat. Paul was gracious enough on a number of occasions to mix humanity with the insanity. He returned several times in the following 2 year period. His son and daughter came with him on one occasion (and without him on another). One day I got a call, “Paul McCartney is coming in for a few hours today, I need you to drive him back to his jet after the meeting”. So, there we sat in the front of the Suburban for nearly an hour, talking about things you and I would talk about. “Do you have pets?” I told him about my 3 dogs, cat, and African Grey Parrot and he told me about his dogs, sheep, horses, and farm animals. He had such an affectionate way of speaking about the animals I began to understand that part of what we all love about him is his willingness to love “Out in the open”. Yeah, THAT”S IT!! He didn’t care who knew that he loved his wife, his kids, his music…. Whatever!! He shook my hand and said "Thank you" and "See you later" with the sincerity that I now took for granted. “Looking forward to next time!” I said. But that time has not yet come.

Dynamic duo plays it hot
Bruce Innes and Jilla Web to perform at nexStage

Bruce Innes has been playing in and around Sun Valley for over 10 years, and loves nothing more than performing at the nexStage Theatre in Ketchum, especially with his long-time friend and singing sensation Jilla Web. Innes and Web will perform a special show at the nexStage Theatre on Thursday, Jan. 3, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and available at the nexStage Theatre and the Sunburst Guitar Gallery in Ketchum.
Innes and Web performed last April to help raise money to save the nexStage Theatre, and now the duo is back to help the nexStage raise money for adult and children's theater-education programs.
"We did a benefit concert last spring that was quite successful," Innes said. "We will try again. Jilla is an absolute heart stopper of a singer."
Web is the daughter of Henry James of the Henry James Orchestra and has followed in her father's footsteps in the music world, not only as an accomplished singer but also in an expanded career in voice-over talent and coaching. Web keeps offices in Las Vegas, Nev., and Nashville, Tenn. She is constantly performing, and both she and Innes plan to do more performances together on the East Coast in the upcoming months.
"We rehearse like fanatics before our shows, but we started working together 20 some years ago," Innes said. "All the songs will be different and new with no repeat performances."
Innes has only recently released a CD--"Nothin But the Blues"--and will perform several songs from it. The CD took Innes a year to produce. "Nothin But the Blues" features traditional blues as well as contemporary blues songs.
"There are two contemporary blues songs that I wrote and it's all done in a Mississippi Blues style on an acoustic guitar," Innes said.
Joining Innes and Web will be valley resident Jeff Rew, who at one time worked with Elvis Presley. Rew will play upright bass.
"He's a great Jazz bassist, and it will be wonderful to hear him with Jilla," Innes said. "Gary Carlson will also play electric bass. He played guitar for Mason Williams. There will be a couple of other guest surprises— we'll bring them all out."
At an Innes and Web show, the audience commonly contains several notable and accomplished musicians and songwriters, and this performance will likely be no exception. Innes' career spans several decades and includes time-honored songs such as "One Tin Soldier" and "Mr. Monday," which he wrote with the producing team of Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter as part of the group The Original Caste.
"I moved here 10 years ago and had sung here in the 70s and had hit records," Innes said. "Sun Valley would fly me in for concerts, and after the kids graduated I thought it was a good place to live."
Innes prefers the intimacy of the nexStage Theatre as opposed to huge concert halls, which is why he believes so strongly in supporting the theater and is so grateful that nexStage will remain as part of Ketchum's future.
